Numun Global
Programmes

Where founders enter the network.

We run the competitions, roadshows and mentorship programmes that Southeast Asian founders enter. That gives us selection rather than solicitation, and it gives founders a route into Gulf and global markets that does not depend on already having a network there.

01

Startup SG Founder Mentorship

A milestone gated, 12 month mentorship programme for first time Singapore founders, running the first four BRIDGES stages.

SINGAPORE | UP TO 12 MONTHS

  • Minimum 120 committed mentor hours per founder over 12 months
  • One lead mentor plus at least one domain specialist per founder
  • Six to eight companies per intake year, deliberately capped
  • Every session logged, every gate decision minuted and countersigned

Numun delivers Baseline, Roadmap, Infrastructure and Deals across up to 12 months. Founders progress between stages on a documented gate review rather than on elapsed time, and every stage produces a defined artefact.

The outcome is a validated proof of concept and proof of value evidenced by achieving at least SGD 250,000. Alternatively, where a business cannot prove itself commercially inside 12 months, the outcome is up to SGD 1,000,000 committed in SAFE or loan financing.

02

Entrepreneurship World Cup

Numun co-organises the ASEAN and Indo-Pacific regionals, one of the largest founder funnels in the region.

ASEAN AND INDO-PACIFIC | ANNUAL

  • TurtleTree, Global Champion 2020
  • NDR Medical Technology, Global Runner-up 2023
  • N&E Innovations, Global Runner-up 2024
  • A Numun partner serves as a current EWC global judge

Since 2019 Numun has co-organised the EWC ASEAN Edition annually, providing a launchpad for Southeast Asian companies to gain exposure in global markets, receive growth funding and expand overseas.

More than 5,000 entrepreneurs and startups have been evaluated through the pathway, and over 20 Southeast Asian companies have reached the global Top 100 among hundreds of thousands of entrants from more than 190 countries.

03

Startup World Cup Singapore

Numun co-organises the Singapore national finals, selecting the country's representative for the global finale in Silicon Valley.

SINGAPORE | ANNUAL FINALS

  • Direct deal flow of Singapore incorporated early-stage teams
  • Exposure to U.S. investors and growth funders
  • Running since 2017 across more than 100 cities

The Startup World Cup Singapore Finals provide a launchpad for Asian companies to gain exposure in U.S. markets and network with growth funders and overseas partners.

The selected top companies pitch at the global finale, with the winner competing in San Francisco. The judging bench across the global competition has included partners from Y Combinator, Kleiner Perkins, Techstars, NEA, Intel Capital, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed, Samsung Ventures and B Capital.

04

Expand North Star Supernova Challenge

Numun co-organises the Southeast Asian roadshows for Dubai World Trade Centre's Supernova Challenge.

SEVEN MARKETS | ROADSHOWS

  • Seven markets with onsite pitch competitions
  • Direct pathway into Expand North Star, Dubai
  • ProfilePrint took 2nd place and USD 60,000 at Supernova Challenge 2.0

Numun runs the roadshows that give Southeast Asian companies exposure to Middle East markets, growth funding and overseas expansion routes. Pitch competitions have been held onsite across seven countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Stakeholder engagement extends further, into Brunei, Myanmar and Laos.

05

Market Access Programmes

Contracted market entry and founder programmes delivered for government and corporate clients across the Gulf.

GULF AND MEASA | CONTRACTED

  • CODE Tech Founders, Saudi MCIT
  • inspireU by stc
  • Dubai World Trade Centre roadshows across seven Southeast Asian markets
  • LEAP East, Hong Kong and Shenzhen delivery

Numun delivers overseas market access programmes under contract, including for CODE, an initiative of the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, for inspireU by stc, and for Dubai World Trade Centre.

Delivery has included matchmaking streams, deep tech scale-up events, sector-grouped corporate visits and demo day speed-dating for cohorts of Gulf scale-ups moving into Asian markets.

06

Founders Exchange

A Singapore and Gulf entrepreneur exchange pairing founders across the corridor for peer learning and in-market validation.

SINGAPORE AND GULF | EXCHANGE

  • Peer learning across two ecosystems
  • In-market validation rather than desk research
  • Access to the Numun corporate and regulator network

Founders Exchange puts Singapore founders in front of Gulf operators and Gulf founders in front of Southeast Asian ones, on the principle that the fastest way to validate a market is to spend time inside it with people who already operate there.

The programme runs alongside Numun's competition and market access calendar, using the same network of corporates, distributors, regulators and investors.
